SGL Tryptone Soya Broth (TSB) is a ready-to-use general-purpose enrichment medium used for the cultivation and recovery of a wide range of bacteria and fungi. Also known as Soybean Casein Digest Broth, TSB is widely used in pharmaceutical, food, environmental, water and clinical microbiology laboratories for routine microbiological testing and quality control.
The nutrient-rich formulation supports the growth of both fastidious and non-fastidious microorganisms, making it suitable for microbial recovery, culture maintenance, environmental monitoring, sterility testing and process validation applications. TSB is commonly used during investigations involving organisms such as Staphylococcus, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas, Salmonella, yeasts and moulds.
