Oxoid™ MRS Agar (ISO) is a selective medium used for the isolation and enumeration of mesophilic lactic acid bacteria in food and dairy products. It complies with ISO 15214:1998 and is widely applied in microbiological quality control for fermented and probiotic products.

• Composition: Includes peptone, yeast extract, glucose, polysorbate 80, ammonium citrate, sodium acetate, magnesium sulphate, manganese sulphate, dipotassium phosphate, and agar
• Preparation: Suspend 57.5g in 1 litre of distilled water, mix thoroughly, heat to dissolve, autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes, cool to 45–50°C, and pour into sterile Petri dishes
• Yield: Approximately 43 litres of prepared medium
• Storage: Store between 10–30°C, in a dry environment
• Compliance: Meets ISO 15214:1998 standards
