Great Recovery Rates  The 0.45m pore size is the preferred choice for optimal microbial recovery, as demonstrated by comparison of different recovery rates on different pore size combinations.

Studies have confirmed the standard 0.45m pore size is the most appropriate for general microbiological purposes.   

The 0.45m filters give the most consistent recoveries across various test systems and do not allow passage of standard 0.22m sterilizing filter challenge microorganisms under typical filtration conditions. The flow rate of this pore size is optimal for both the retention and recovery of microorganisms.
