The DNAllergen2 Mustard real-time PCR kit provides all reagents for the qualitative detection and/or quantitative analysis of mustard DNA sequences in food products by molecular biological methods.
Molecular biology tools, specifically RT-PCR, is a widely used method to detect and quantify allergenic ingredients. RT-PCR offers the advantages of extremely high sensitivity and specificity, especially on samples where the ELISA method reaches its limitations (ie cross-reactivity, or highly processed matrices). This makes RT-PCR an excellent complementary tool to the immunological techniques used in allergen testing.
The extensive range of the DNAllergen2 RT-PCR kits allows for reliable detection and precise quantification of specific allergenic sources, with no cross-reactivity to closely related species. The method is ideal for thermal treated matrices.
The DNAllergen2 portfolio is developed and validated in accordance with the principles of EN 15634 and EN 15842.
