SGL Buffered Peptone Water (BPW) is a ready-to-use pre-enrichment medium designed for the recovery of stressed and damaged bacteria from food, environmental and water samples. Commonly used as the first stage in Salmonella testing, BPW provides a non-selective environment that helps injured microorganisms recover before transfer to selective enrichment media, improving the likelihood of detecting low levels of contamination.
The medium is widely used in food manufacturing, dairy production, water testing and quality control laboratories for microbiological examination of raw materials, finished products and environmental samples.
